Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Freskato, we coordinate the shipping of frozen food products with a focus on maintaining appropriate temperature control, careful handling and the documentation required for international trade.

Shipping arrangements, delivery schedules and responsibilities are confirmed for each order based on the product, destination, quantity, packaging requirements, selected shipping terms and carrier availability.

1. Shipping Terms

Freskato may offer shipping arrangements under internationally recognized Incoterms® 2020, depending on the requirements of the buyer and the specific transaction.

Commonly used terms may include:

• FOB – Free On Board: The seller delivers the goods on board the vessel at the named port of shipment, with risk transferring according to the applicable Incoterms® 2020 rule.
• CFR – Cost and Freight: The seller arranges and pays for carriage to the named destination port, while risk transfers according to the applicable Incoterms® 2020 rule.
• CIF – Cost, Insurance and Freight: The seller arranges carriage and the required insurance to the named destination port, with risk transferring according to the applicable Incoterms® 2020 rule.

The applicable Incoterm, named place or port, responsibilities and costs will be clearly stated in the relevant quotation and sales contract.

2. Order Processing & Dispatch

Order processing and dispatch timelines depend on factors including:

• Product availability
• Order quantity
• Product specifications
• Packaging requirements
• Documentation requirements
• Production or processing schedules
• Carrier and vessel availability
• Destination requirements

The estimated dispatch date and shipment schedule will be communicated during order confirmation.

For custom packaging or private-label requirements, additional preparation time may apply depending on packaging specifications and material availability.

Any estimated ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) and ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) provided by Freskato are subject to carrier schedules, port operations, customs procedures, weather and other circumstances beyond our direct control.

3. Cold Chain & Temperature Control

Frozen products require controlled-temperature transportation to help maintain product quality throughout the shipment.

Where applicable, Freskato coordinates refrigerated transportation and appropriate reefer-container arrangements for frozen shipments.

Products are generally handled and stored at -18°C or below, subject to the applicable product requirements and agreed shipment conditions.

Where temperature monitoring is required, temperature data logging or related monitoring arrangements may be discussed and agreed with the buyer before shipment.

4. Packaging & Shipment Preparation

Products are packed according to the agreed product specifications and packaging requirements.

Available packaging may vary depending on the product and order requirements and may include retail, bulk or other agreed formats.

Before dispatch, shipment details such as product quantity, packaging, labeling, documentation and destination requirements are reviewed according to the confirmed order.

5. Export Documentation

Depending on the product, destination and agreed transaction requirements, export documentation may include:

• Commercial Invoice
• Packing List
• Bill of Lading (B/L)
• Certificate of Origin
• Health Certificate
• Phytosanitary Certificate, where applicable
• Fumigation Certificate, where applicable
• Product or quality-related documents, where required
• Other documents specifically agreed for the shipment

The exact documentation provided will depend on the product, destination-country requirements and terms agreed between Freskato and the buyer.

6. Customs & Import Requirements

Freskato will provide the export documentation applicable to the agreed shipment.

The buyer/importer is responsible for understanding and meeting the import requirements of the destination country, including applicable customs procedures, permits, duties, taxes, labeling requirements and food regulations, unless otherwise agreed in the sales contract.

Buyers should communicate any destination-specific documentation or regulatory requirements to Freskato before the order is finalized.

7. Inspection & Insurance

Pre-shipment inspection can be discussed where required by the buyer, destination market or sales agreement.

If inspection by an independent agency is requested, the inspection scope, timing and associated costs will be agreed before shipment.

Where insurance is applicable under the agreed Incoterm or sales contract, the coverage and terms will be specified in the relevant commercial documentation. Under CIF, the seller's insurance obligation follows the applicable Incoterms® 2020 requirements unless the parties agree otherwise.

8. Delays & Shipment Changes

Estimated shipping and delivery schedules may be affected by circumstances including:

• Vessel or carrier schedule changes
• Port congestion
• Customs procedures
• Weather conditions
• Documentation delays
• Government or regulatory requirements
• Transport disruptions
• Other circumstances outside Freskato's reasonable control

Where we become aware of a significant change affecting the agreed shipment schedule, we will communicate the relevant information to the buyer.

9. Delivery & Receipt

Delivery responsibilities depend on the Incoterm and destination specified in the sales contract.

The buyer should ensure that the consignee, destination details, import documentation and other required information are accurate and available before shipment.

Upon arrival, the buyer should inspect the shipment and follow the applicable procedures for receiving, unloading and storing the frozen products.

Any shortage, visible damage or temperature-related concern should be documented and communicated promptly in accordance with the terms of the relevant sales contract and shipping documentation.
